You can either register with Echo and ask them to contact your GP or medical professional for the medication you require or you can contact the GP and inform them that you wish to use the Echo service has your nominated pharmacy. In either case, the Echo system will then contact you and arrange delivery accordingly.
Repeat prescriptions work in a similar way, except they are usually a lot quicker and Echo manage it all for you. You have no need to contact your GP at all.
The echo service also has a unique Family medication management aspect that allows you to manage up to 6 family members medication with one account.

Lloyds Online Pharmacy Online Website and App Review
With the Lloyds Online Pharmacy having a seperate website to the Lloyds prescription service, you would think there would be some confusion. But it actually works very well and makes it very easy to understand. Whichever website you are on, they are both easy to navigate and to find exactly what you want. Both website are also very mobile friendly.
The Echo website is actually very small with very few pages. It is very simple to find all the information you need in respect of the NHS prescription service.
The Lloyds Online Pharmacy website is very basic and not the most complex or simple to use. The front end pages are non-graphical making you run through lists to find the condition or treatment that you require, whilst the product pages are very detailed and useful.
The ‘shop by category’ option is very simple, once you get used to it and the very comprehensive search function definitely adds value.
The Echo website has an App specifically for the NHS prescription service which is very highly rated and used. The app can be used to order repeat prescriptions for you and your family members and get reminders etc.

Lloyds Online Pharmacy Coronavirus Service Issues
Lloyds Online Pharmacy does not appear to have been effected by covid-19 at all. They are only stating a day or two delay due to Royal Mail delivery problems and some issues with their customer services telephone system.
Lloyds high-street stores have suspended services such as new patient checks and blood pressure testing. They have also changed their opening times (mostly extended) and implemented social distancing.
Lloyds Online Pharmacy Conclusions
With Lloyds Pharmacy being a major player on the high-streets, we were expecting a decent service from their online counterpart and we were not disappointed. Their range of products and services is actually very good.
The online prescription service and online doctor is simple to use, cost effective and cannot really be faulted.
Unfortunately Covid-19 has had an impact on the high street stores, but this has not spread to the online service. The standard practice of dispatching orders on the day they are prescribed by your medical professional is pretty good.
Reviews on TrustPilot by customers are very varied, but most negative reviews actually relate to the high-street stores rather than the online service. The online service is far better and has far fewer complaints.
